Ball mill Introduction
Ball mill also named ball roller mill, ball grinder mill is a cylindrical device used for grinding materials with low hardness such as limestone, cement, raw coal etc. According to ball mill specifications, SBM ball mill widely applied to grind varies ores and grind-able raw materials in dry grinding and wet grinding.
Ball mill can be divided into two models dry ball mill and wet ball mill depending on the working models. According to the different ways of ore discharge style, it can be divided into grid-based ball mill and overflow ball mill. Ball mill application
Ball mill is key grinder equipment or grinder machine after materials crushed by crushing equipments in quarry plants or related powder production lines.
- Cement industry: In the cement production process, most of raw material such as limestone, clay, iron ore and coal etc. should be processed by crusher machines and grinder equipments. During the last cement grinding process, cement ball mill manufactured by ball mill manufacturer SBM is used commonly in cement plants.
- Silicate production line: Ball mill takes an important part in the pulverizing process for sodium silicate production plants.
- New building materials and refractory: New building materials are different from the traditional brick and gray gravel and other construction materials including varieties and categories. Ball Mill Working Principle
The ball mill, a horizontal type and tubular running, has two warehouses. Ball mill runs along the outside gear. Materials spirally and evenly enter the first warehouse along the input hollow axis by input devices. In the warehouse, there is a ladder scale board or ripple scale board. Steel balls of different specifications are installed in the scale board.
When the barrel body rotates, centrifugal force is produced. At the same time, the steel balls are carried to some height and then fall to grind and strike the material. After being grinded coarsely in the first warehouse, the material then enters into the second warehouse for regrinding. In the end, the powder is discharges by output material board.
Apart from dry ball mill and wet ball mill, there are small ball mill and used ball mill provided. Generally small ball mill is widely used as cement grinding mill. As we all know, cement mill is mainly used to grind the clinker and raw materials in cement industry and also can be applied in metallurgy, chemical, electric power and other industries to grind all kinds of ores .Cement mill is not only suitable for over-flow grinding, but also applicable for cyclic close-flow grinding together with powder collector.
